Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially started retail sales of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ, expanding the iconic Land Cruiser family with a smaller, more versatile SUV designed to meet the needs of modern drivers.
Launched on July 20, 2026, the new Land Cruiser FJ carries the same qualities that have made the Land Cruiser name a trusted choice among Filipino motorists for decades — durability, reliability, and off-road capability — while introducing a more compact and practical package suited for both urban driving and outdoor adventures.
The latest addition to Toyota’s SUV lineup is positioned as a more accessible entry point into the Land Cruiser range, combining rugged performance with everyday usability.
Classic Land Cruiser Design Meets Modern Practicality
The all-new Land Cruiser FJ takes inspiration from previous Land Cruiser models, featuring a bold and upright design built around functionality. Its short overhangs, wide stance, and high ground clearance highlight its off-road-ready character, while its compact dimensions make it easier to maneuver through city streets.
Adding to its adventure-focused design are its rear side-access cargo door, rear-mounted spare tire, and squared-off body panels. These elements not only reinforce the vehicle’s rugged identity but also provide a flexible platform for owners who want to personalize their SUVs for outdoor activities.
Inside the cabin, Toyota focuses on practicality and driver convenience. The Land Cruiser FJ features a functional layout with durable materials, intuitive controls, and modern infotainment technology designed to support both daily commutes and weekend explorations.
Built for Philippine Roads and Off-Road Adventures
Under the hood, both the Land Cruiser FJ TX and VX variants are powered by a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 166 horsepower and 245Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel-drive system. Under normal driving conditions, the SUV operates in rear-wheel drive, while four-wheel drive can be engaged when additional traction is needed on challenging terrain.
Supporting its off-road capability is Toyota’s proven ladder-frame chassis, combined with a double-wishbone front suspension and four-link rear suspension setup. The vehicle also comes standard with Active Traction Control System (A-TRC), helping maintain stability across different road conditions.
The Land Cruiser FJ measures 4,610mm in length and 1,855mm in width, with a 2,580mm wheelbase and 245mm ground clearance. The TX variant has a height of 1,890mm, while the VX stands at 1,950mm.
Two Variants Offer Different Levels of Capability and Comfort
Toyota Philippines offers the all-new Land Cruiser FJ in two variants: the 2.7L TX A/T and the 2.7L VX A/T, giving customers options depending on their lifestyle and driving preferences.
The Land Cruiser FJ TX is designed for drivers who prioritize capability and customization. It comes equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, LED lighting, a 9-inch infotainment display, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, synthetic leather seats, and manual controls focused on functionality.
Meanwhile, the Land Cruiser FJ VX adds more premium features for customers seeking enhanced comfort and technology. It upgrades to 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, side steps, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather shift knob, and a Panoramic View Monitor.
The VX variant also comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes advanced driver assistance features such as the Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and Automatic High Beam.
