Photography is one of the most popular modern art forms today. For me, it is the most powerful means of expressing one’s inner inate feeling and thoughts. More people nowadays are inclined to capture various subjects that pique their interest in the most artistic way they can.
That being said hundreds of participants put their creativity prowess and photography skills to the ultimate test at the Canon Photo Marathon University leg held last Saturday, October 18th at the De La Salle University. Students from various schools and colleges such as De La Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo de Manila and Assumption College filled up the University’s Henry Sy building, all of them to take exceptional photograph with their Canon digital cameras on hand.
The University leg featured two categories : The Point-and-shoot category was for owners of Digital Compact Cameras and the Digital Cameras with Interchangeable Lenses category for owners of EOS DSLR and EOS-M mirrorless cameras.
Canon Ambassadors graced the event and welcomed all the young aspiring photographers who brought their gears to be part of this event. It was fun and amazing that some of these young ones were geared even with Canon EOS 1Dx, the highest and most current model of Canon’s lineup.
During the event, i was able to interview some of the Canon Ambassadors.
Here is my interview with Commercial Photographer Mr. John Chua
I was also able to interview the “Bird Watcher” Mr.Ely Tehankee
I was also able to talk to the younger Ambassadors Jo Avila and Jay Tablante
Canon President Mr. Lim Kok Hin also extended the invitation to the Canon Photo Marathon 2014 that will be on November 8, 2014 at the Fort, BGC.
