Power Mac Center, one of the Country’s longest Apple Computer Concept store in the Philippines today, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Brief History
For those who don’t know, Power Mac Center business owners started with humble beginnings. Lawrence Sison and Myrabelle Tan were Apple fanatics who started selling Macs more than 25 years ago. Straight from College, they worked as Account Executives of a Mac distributor DPSI.
Sometime in 2001, i had the privilege to work with them when they only had 3 branches, Megamall, Greenbelt and San Juan. I was the Product Manager of Apple Computers with one of the distributors. Though Powermac was able to order directly from Apple, we were able to workout programs for them.
PowerMac also started to pitch training classes for individuals or groups who would like to learn from scratch easpecially if you come from a traditional PC.
The Apple concept store of Power Mac centers were totally different then, you will find the Mac computers, desktops and the Digital Lifestyle Music for iPods which Powermac was the only one allowed to sell in the Philippines in 2001.
Power Mac stores got a facelift
I would assume everything changed during the birth of the iPads, Apple innovative tablet. I noticed their stores got renovated in the mid of 2000. People needed more, looked for more, asked for more than just headsets and cases for iPods, but for smart covers, replacement and car chargers, carrying cases. This makes PowerMac center a top of mind for the consumers.
Anything you have in mind i am sure you can find it there. Powerbanks, external harddisks, airporfs, MS Office for Mac, wired and bluetooth headsets, Sound docks, 3rd party software, repairs, product trainings. They have different models and brands that would fit your budget.
Power Mac unveils of Loyalty Card
Highlighting the 20 Sensational Years is the presentation of a privilege card called the Infinite Card, the most awaited loyaltyprogram of Power Mac Center. Designed to offer a portfolio of benefits to the Company’s clientele, 1 Infinite Card allows customers to earn points every time they purchase any product. Accumulated points can be used to purchase products and services at any Power Mac Center branch.
“As Power Mac celebrates two decades in the Apple business, we recognize that our valued clients are the backbone of our business. We are committed to find meaningful ways to engage our valued clients and provide them a value-driven experience every time they shop at our stores. 1 Infinite Card is about strengthening our relationship with our most loyal customers by giving them a variety of tangible and relevant rewards,” says Joey Alvarez, Power Mac Center Marketing Director.
1 Infinite Card has four different flavors – Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond – and each one has a corresponding point system and provides privilege and rewards ranging from free preventive maintenance services to exclusive offers and deals.
