Traveling by sea has never been this easy with Speedy Ticket, a ticketing service that makes booking boat rides easier, cashless, and more secure. Backed by 917Ventures, the country’s largest corporate venture builder, Speedy Ticket levels-up the ticketing experience for Filipinos. It is currently on its soft launch.
Boat passengers may visit https://speedyticket.ph/ to choose and book their desired schedule and get their boat tickets and pay through cashless payment options including GCash.
“For the longest time, inter-island travel in our country has been lagging digitally. Positively looking into the future, in a post-pandemic world, we would be an additional booster to the country’s tourism sector as traveling is made easier and convenient. At the heart of this project is the convenience of millions of Filipinos, tourists, students, and the hardworking Pinoys who go home to their families by sea just to be reunited,” said Arnold Castro, Speedy Ticket Venture Builder.
Speedy Ticket has already partnered with Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Inc. for trips from Cagayan de Oro to Cebu and vice versa. More trips will soon be available as it works to partner with more shipping lines this year.
Speedy Ticket is one of the chosen ideas from the first batch of the 917Ventures Velocity Program which helps aspiring entrepreneurs build a successful venture that would progress on to ultimately becoming a standalone entity.
“We want to provide venture builders the opportunity to build businesses with the growth levers and network advantage of operating within 917Ventures and Globe,” said 917Ventures Managing Director Vince Yamat.
917Ventures, a subsidiary of Globe Telecom, has already shown a track record of nurturing innovations and building businesses through GCash, KonsultaMD, HealthNow, RUSH, AdSpark, RUSH, FreebieMNL, and PureGo, among others.
