Soon after the official launch of the new PLDT HOME Ultera ambassadors, the ultra-fast brand brings together media partners and fans for a fun afternoon of hanging out with volleyball superstars Rachel Daquis, Mika Reyes, Ara Galang and John Vic De Guzman.
These talented and well-loved personalities complete the ultra-fun Ultera barkada family alongside Alyssa Valdez, Peter Torres and Dindin and Jaja Santiago.
The bonding session was held in Cerchio, Quezon City, where press, fans and the volleyball superstars enjoyed the food, music and company. The latter shared a side of themselves that went beyond the court—a fun-loving side that they carry when they are with family and friends or simply at home.
“I am so happy to be part of the PLDT HOME Ultera barkada family as I represent the brand in so many ways,” Rachel Daquis shared. “Besides doing my best in volleyball, I go all out at home to stay close to my family of seven. Being the eldest, I strive to become an ideal role model for my two younger siblings, niece and nephew. We have the best time eating and watching movies. And with the help of ultra-fast Internet, we are also able to stay in touch with my mom and little sister who are currently living in Germany.”
Just like Philippine Super Liga 2015 Finals MVP Daquis, UAAP standout Mika Reyes is dedicated to setting a good example for her two younger siblings, taking great care of them while catching up with relatives through social media. Similarly, UAAP Season 75 MVP Ara Galang makes the most of her free time by indulging in adventure or comedy-drama films with her family, gaming or watching anime with older brother and using online messaging apps to connect with her mom who is abroad.
Joining the Ultera family barkada is Spiker’s Turf icon John Vic De Guzman, who cherishes karaoke nights at home with his mom and sister. He is also still able to bond with his older brother who works abroad by sharing funny photos and videos with him online.
These four athlete-celebrities join their fellow Ultera family barkada members introduced earlier this month: top volleybelle Alyssa Valdez, who values moments spent at home with her three brothers through movie marathons and video game play-offs; “Twin Towers” and sisters Dindin and Jaja Santiago, who still communicate regularly even though Dindin is now married; and UAAP volleyball star Peter Torres, who makes the most of his visits back home in Tacloban by spending time with his family, watching Iron Man and Marvel movies. Not only do these ambassadors excel in their sport and at home, but they are all friends off the court, making them the perfect Ultera family barkada who epitomize all out fun through their bonding moments.
“As individuals and as a group, these volleyball superstars seamlessly embody the PLDT HOME Ultera brand identity,” PLDT VP and HOME Marketing Head Gary Dujali said. “They are excellent athletes and great friends, and they go all out at home with their families as well. The Ultera lifestyle is about going all out in anything you do and we apply that mantra to our home-based Internet connection. When it comes to the Internet, some think that WiFi hotspots and Internet cafes are as good as it gets. But PLDT HOME Ultera offers ultra-fast and affordable broadband to enable all-out fun at home so you don’t settle for anything less. Our Ultera family barkada is a testament to that.”
