Former Finance Secretary Gary Teves, Chairman of the Gary B. Teves Golf Foundation, Inc. held another success Charity Golf event at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club located in Barangay Casile, Cabuyao Laguna where it was a former sugarcane owned by Jose Yulo is nestled.
Imagine the vast greens and rich lands of this wonderful location where a 36-hole golf course is located. Travelling about an hour from Manila, there is so much fun and excitement for this event as there is a good cause for this, St. Rita Orphanage, Inc. was chosen as the beneficiary of this year’s charity event to highlight the importance of providing care, love, and support during a child’s most formative years — from 0 to 2 years old.
During these early years, proper care and a nurturing environment play a vital role in a child’s development and future well-being. Through this event, the Gary B. Teves Golf Foundation, Inc. hopes to extend meaningful support to these young children and contribute to giving them a better start in life.

Format: Modified UP VanguardThere were a lot of golfers coming from various sectors who arrived early for the tee off with some familiar names and faces like Mr Willie Tee Ten, President of Autohub group, Larry Yan, Mark Ronquillo, founder of 3Strokes and also Ching Fiansan also known online as Laboching.
The grass was moist as it rained the night before said the caddies, so it was really muddy and slippery. It was my first time to play the Modified UP Vanguard format and it was exciting having paired with Mark and Chef Francis with Golf and Sports editor of Manila Standard, Randy Caluag.
This was my 2nd time to play in this Golf Course and i remembered the first time, we had a very long walk as this has a par rating of 72 both North and South, with a yardage of 6,872/6,758 approximate and a course rating of 73.8/74.1 and a slope rating of 136/133
