2026 National Long Drive Philippines Finals – building the Long Drive Community

Driving Philippine Talent to Asia

The National Long Drive Philippines (NLD Philippines) returns for its second year, continuing its mission to build and strengthen the long drive community in the Philippines and provide Filipino athletes with a recognized pathway to compete on the Asian stage.

The 2026 National Finals will bring together the country’s top long-drive competitors who have
earned their places through accredited qualifiers held across the Philippines. The event will
culminate in a national championship where distance, consistency, power and competitive skill
will determine this year’s national champions.

NLD Philippines is an accredited national member of the Asia Long Drive Association (ALDA),
the regional governing organization for long-drive competition. In 2025, ALDA formally partnered with South Pacific Events Marketing Co. (SPEMC), together with Lambskin Creatives, to develop and represent long drive in the Philippines.

A Pathway to the Asian Championship
The National Finals serves as more than a national competition—it provides Filipino long-drive
athletes with a pathway toward international competition.

The 2026 Asia Long Drive Championship, organized by ALDA, is scheduled for November
26–29, 2026 at Liujiang Bay International Golf Club in Liuzhou, China, bringing together leading long-drive athletes from across Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Philippines’ participation in the Asian championship gives local athletes an opportunity to
compete against some of the region’s strongest long-drive competitors while representing the
country on an international stage.

Three Divisions. One National Championship.

For its second year, the NLD Philippines National Finals will feature three competitive divisions:
Men’s Open Division
Ladies Open Division
Masters Division — 45+

The three divisions are designed to provide a competitive platform for different segments of the country’s growing long-drive community, while encouraging more golfers to discover and
participate in the sport.

The Masters division also recognizes the continued development of long-drive athletes beyond
the traditional competitive age groups, while the Ladies Open provides a dedicated platform for women in the sport.

Growing the Sport in the Philippines

Long drive is rapidly developing as a specialized discipline within golf, combining clubhead
speed, athleticism, technique and the ability to perform under pressure.

NLD Philippines aims to take the sport beyond simply hitting the ball farther. Through regional
qualifiers, national competition and international participation, the organization seeks to create
more opportunities for Filipino golfers to experience competitive long drive, discover new talent and build a stronger national community around the sport.

The 2025 National Long Drive Philippines series featured qualifiers across Luzon, Visayas,
Mindanao and Metro Manila, culminating in the National Finals at Newport World Resorts. ALDA describes the initiative as a nationwide pathway aimed at discovering and empowering the Philippines’ top long-drive athletes.
