GDR Taxi is GrabTaxi’s 1st fleet partner in Iloilo City

GrabTaxi launch in Iloilo

Iloilo City has been named the 4th City in the Philippines where GrabTaxiPh has its full operations. GDR Taxi is the biggest taxi fleet operators in Iloilo where they have almost 200 units running all over the City and nearby provinces.

GDR Taxi’s service vehicles are mostly Toyota Avanza, which makes it really spacious for commuters to and from the airport and going to the tourist destinations. LTFRB has regulated 4 passengers (5 including driver), and the backseat is removed which gives a very big luggage compartment to bring boxes and crates perhaps.

GrabTaxi’s aim is not to get 100% of the total number of running service vehicles but allows the Management to nominate its best drivers to service taxi riders using the GrabTaxi app. GDR has its own call-in using a trunkline number where each vehicle has its own 2-way radio.

For the residents and our kababayans in Iloilo, the GrabTaxi app is downloadable for FREE on your iPhone and Android devices. Once you have registered completely, you will be able to book a cab easily, fast and reliable. Just confirm your exact location and punch in your destination. You will be able to see the booking fee and the fixed rate of travel to your destination.

The GPS allows location-based tracking and assignment of the nearest taxi driver available in the vicinity and the rider has the option to choose which driver, if there are more than 1 driver near you. Once confirmed, you will be notified of the estimated arrival time of driver, the driver’s screenshot, description of vehicle and his mobile number.

Travelling in Iloilo is nice since they have expanded the major city road to 6-lanes, 3 on each side which accommodates more vehicles on the road.

During the parade for the official launch of GrabTaxi in Iloilo, GDR has lined up quite a number of AUV’s to show to Iloilo peeps that they are glad with their partnership.
