DITO Telecommunity and League of Municipalities gives food packs

 

As part of the ongoing Bayanihan efforts of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) aimed at helping member municipalities affected by disasters and calamities, DITO Telecommunity has extended help to municipalities within two provinces this Holiday Season affected by the recent typhoons.

The 500,000 Pesos donation, coursed through the LMP National Office will be used to provide municipalities in two provinces heavily affected by the recent typhoons, Camarines Sur and Sorsogon food packs this Holiday Season.

LMP National President Mayor Luis “Chavit” Singson thanked DITO for their generous donation and for being the LMP’s active partner. “We are grateful for the help that DITO has continuously extended to our municipalities. Kailangang- kailangan talaga natin ngayon ng tulong lalo na mula sa pribadong sector. Bayanihan talaga ang susi para makabangon ang ating mga bayan at makatulong sa ating mga kababayan”, Mayor Chavit said.

Atty. Adel Tamano, Chief Administrative Officer of DITO Telecommunity said, “This gesture of generosity comes from the men and women behind the company. The DITO employees have given up a portion of their Christmas privileges and have all decided to donate to a worthy cause. Our support to the LMP is just one of the ways by which DITO has committed to serve the underserved and to be a potential catalyst in connecting Filipino communities wherever they may be.”
