MANILA, Philippines, May 25, 2026 — Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast is accelerating its expansion in the Philippines with the opening of a new showroom in Cebu, reinforcing its presence in the Visayas as demand for electric mobility continues to grow.

Opened on May 15 in partnership with TJ Motors Ventures Corp., the new VinFast Cebu South showroom at Il Corso Filinvest Malls along Cebu South Coastal Road marks another step in the company’s nationwide rollout aimed at bringing battery electric vehicles closer to Filipino consumers.

The facility showcases VinFast Philippines’ expanding electric vehicle lineup, including the newly launched VinFast MPV 7, a seven-seater electric multi-purpose vehicle built for families, and the Limo Green, an all-electric model designed for commercial and fleet operations. The showroom also features dedicated spaces for sales consultations, test drive scheduling, vehicle turnover, and customer lounge services.

The Cebu opening comes as more Filipino motorists look for alternatives to rising fuel costs and increasingly turn to electric vehicles for lower operating expenses, reduced maintenance, and zero tailpipe emissions. VinFast said expanding its dealership network remains a key part of its strategy to make EV ownership more accessible across the country.

Cebu is seen as a strategic location for the brand’s growth in the Visayas, given its role as one of the region’s main economic and transportation hubs.

“As more Filipinos begin to reassess their mobility choices amid rising fuel costs, there is a growing need for solutions that are both practical and sustainable,” said Rhomel Franco, CEO of VinFast Philippines. “The opening of our Cebu South showroom allows us to bring electric mobility closer to communities in the Visayas and support their transition toward more efficient everyday transport.”

Jonathan Cua, chairman of TJ Motors Ventures Corp., said Cebu remains an important market for mobility and business growth in the region.

“Through our partnership with VinFast, we are proud to introduce electric vehicles to the local community and provide a more accessible way for individuals and businesses to explore sustainable transport options,” Cua said.

VinFast said the Cebu South showroom reflects the company’s broader push to strengthen its presence outside Metro Manila and support the country’s transition toward cleaner transportation.

The VinFast Cebu South Il Corso showroom is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Customers may visit to view VinFast’s electric vehicle lineup, schedule a test drive, or send inquiries through the showroom’s official Facebook page, VinFast Cebu South.
