As we conclude International Women’s Month, which since then has provided a venue for highlighting women’s challenges, victories, and epiphanies. To recognize strength and various perspectives in different departments, we hear from women of CHERRY who have weathered the challenges and continue to triumph.
Now that we are almost back to normal, the workplace continues to be a significant source of diversity, sociability, and equality. The adverse impact of the pandemic did not remain a hindrance. The women of CHERRY persevere to bounce back and move forward. “I have seen the business expand in my two decades of employment. Our loyalty and perseverance have been the most valuable assets we have brought to the company,” says Fely Calces, Assistant Manager – RDU. She leads a department where men predominate, yet she still manages to give the team members a sense of unity and purpose. “We saw all of the successful deliveries, shipments, and sales as our victory,” she added.
Grace Enriquez, Operations Manager shares they have adapted to the new normal and now reaching a bigger market. “Given the ample time and manpower, we can now make the products available in provinces as far away as Mindanao.” In addition, individuals are becoming more vigilant about their health and safety now that we are back to our normal lives. CHERRY products are now becoming an essential part of everyday lives. “Sales are improving, which is a good sign as we have always been resilient.” Flor Cabrera, Assistant Sales Manager added.
Women of CHERRY work in disciplines as they have a crucial role to play in the growth of the industry. They are an invaluable resource in the workforce because they have the opportunity to provide a variety of abilities. Nancy Cheng, Senior Finance Officer shares, “For the productivity of the accounting department, my team and I make sure to remain adaptable and dependable. We create opportunities for growth and motivate one another to put in hard work for the company.”
Furthermore, they are also crucial team players that help create the solutions. “Daily obstacles exist, but seeing my team arrive at work with enthusiasm and giving their best effort is a win,” says Relly Fernando, Asst. Retail Manager. This has led to good outcomes.
Ren Dimayacyac, Executive Assistant to the CEO, shares how she establishes strategy in working diligently to be dependable and trustworthy. “Maintaining good ethics and integrity is just as critical as performing well at work and completing all task.”
Sheree S. Maagma, Senior HR Officer and employee for 15 years, emphasizes how she conquered her battle with cancer. “Since my breast cancer diagnosis in October 2020, the company has provided me with excellent support. The entire HR team as well as my superiors offered me support.”
Analie A. Calimotan, Accounting Manager of VCCSI-XTI-RADIANT 88 and an employee for 11 years, proudly shares, “We are really committed to making decisions that are smart and appropriate, and the management is quite supportive of any positive changes we envision.”
IT Admin Supervisor, Michelle Ann Sinongco-Loreto highlights, “Our daily work progress and success in managing IT-related equipment are the things we consider to be our wins.”
Warehouse Team Leader, Azenith M. Catubag point up, “We engage in team building activities to foster camaraderie and create a sense of unity among my team members.
Program officer of MSN Foundation Inc., Dezza Sacdal, shares, “As a program officer, it is our victory to make a significant difference in the lives of the beneficiaries while achieving the organization’s objective.”
Senior Brand Marketing Officer, Star R. Segovia added, “We regard it as a win when we start projects from nothing and see them through to completion. We find them rewarding to accomplish for our department and the company.”
Kudos to the women of CHERRY who remain steadfast and make a significant presence in their given professions. They are pushing the envelope of what is possible and beyond.
