After a long hiatus that was brought by the pandemic. the Asian Defense and Security once again happened here at the World Trade Center, in Pasay City, Philippines. Since its last event in 2020, the top brass of Nations, Asia’s top most service commanders, Commanding Generals from the various branches of military service of different countries convened to a testimonial dinner hosted at the Hotel Sofitel.
The event was formally opened with a Welcome address from Mr Andrew Marriott, APAC Expo Pte Ltd Managing Director, lead organizer for ADAS 2022. The event was made possible with major sponsors Lockheed Martin and Brahmos Aerospace.
Following the welcome address of Mr Marriott was the Chairman and CEO of Brahmos Aerospace Dr. Sanjeev Khumar, who addressed their excellencies from various Asian Countries present that night. He acknowledged the Office of the President, Sec of National Defense Delfin Lorenzana, National Security Council, Generals from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard and the Tourism Promotions Board.
A short message was also delivered by the CEO of Lockheed Martin.
Representing the Philippines was Secretary for National Defense Delfin Lorenzana.
The evening was filled with smiles as these comrades in arms, top brass of various Asean countries, had a sumptuous dinner, serenaded by a quartet of strings to fill the air with great music.
It was such admiration for these patriots who took pictures before the event. Thy admired the great sunset at Manila Bay. Wine was served to soften the evening. I have so much respect seeing these Men at Arms who came in their ceremonial uniform as well.
The night was filled with smiles. I am honored to be part of this prestigious event seeing all the high ranking official that carried themselves very admirably in their ceremonial uniforms with all the ribbons, medals and badges on them, dressed in their respective colors and outfit.
The exhibitor countries include the United States of America, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, South Korea, Turkey, Czech Republic, Spain, Austria, Sweden, Japan, Australia, Canada, India, Israel, Germany, Brazil, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Greece, Denmark, and the Philippines being the host country for the Asian Defense and Security exhibition or ADAS 2022 for short.
The Republic of the Philippines, together with the Department of National Defense (DND), National Security Council (NSC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) worked hand in had to make this event safe and successful for all the foreign delegates.
Each VIP were provided military escorts and the surroundings of Pasay City, most especially the World Trade Center of the Philippines and nearby entry and exit roads were heavily guarded.
