Manila, Philippines, — Xiaomi has rolled out the REDMI 15 5G in the Philippines, a new midrange smartphone built around two standout features: a massive 7000mAh battery and an expansive 6.9-inch FHD+ display.
The battery is Xiaomi’s biggest yet, promising up to two days of use on a single charge. It supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging, while Xiaomi’s Smart Charging Engine 2.0 is designed to keep the battery healthy in the long run. Even with just 1% power left, the phone claims to squeeze out nearly an hour of call time or over seven hours on standby.
On the design side, the REDMI 15 5G sports a quad-curved back with metal detailing and an IP64 rating for resistance against dust and splashes. It also comes with Xiaomi’s Wet Touch Technology 2.0, so the screen remains responsive even if your fingers are damp.
Under the hood, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, paired with up to 16GB of RAM (including virtual memory expansion) and support for up to 2TB of expandable storage.
For photography, the REDMI 15 5G carries a 50MP AI dual-camera setup with creative tools like AI Erase and AI Sky. It also doubles as an entertainment device, offering Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos, and a 200% volume boost for louder playback.
The device runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, with features such as Circle to Search, Google Gemini integration, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity for linking with other devices in the ecosystem.
The REDMI 15 5G (4GB + 128GB) will be available in Ripple Green, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black. Pricing starts at Php 7,999 through Xiaomi’s official online stores. Telco bundles are also available: Globe Postpaid Plan 999 with a Php 400 cashout, and Smart Postpaid Plan 999 starting in the second week of October.
