Manila, Philippines — Xiaomi has officially introduced its new flagship smartphones in the Philippines, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro, unveiled at a launch event in Bonifacio Global City. The new lineup brings together Leica co-engineered cameras, stronger performance, and a sleeker design, positioning the 15T Series as Xiaomi’s most advanced T-series yet.
Imaging powered by Leica
At the core of the 15T Series is photography. Both phones feature triple-camera systems developed in partnership with Leica: the 15T with a main, ultra-wide, and telephoto setup, and the 15T Pro with a main, ultra-wide, and Leica 5x Pro telephoto lens.
The Pro model covers focal lengths from 15mm to 230mm, while the base 15T spans 15mm to 92mm. Both use a 50MP main camera with Leica Summilux optics, while the Pro version adds a Light Fusion 900 image sensor for improved clarity and low-light detail. The 15T Pro also introduces a new Leica 5x telephoto, enabling up to 20x Ultra Zoom. Up front, both phones include a 32MP selfie camera.
Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 platform powers features like improved portrait effects, richer colors, and Leica street photography modes with quick access to classic focal lengths. On the video side, the Pro can capture 4K at 120fps and offers 10-bit Log recording with LUT support for creators who want more post-production flexibility.
Smarter connectivity and new software
Beyond imaging, the 15T Series debuts Xiaomi Astral Communication, which includes a unique Offline Communication feature. This allows 15T phones to make direct device-to-device voice calls without mobile or Wi-Fi signals—up to 1.9km on the Pro and 1.3km on the base model. Other tools like Surge T1S Tuner and AI-powered antenna switching help keep signals stable in challenging environments.
Both models also ship with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which introduces faster multitasking, redesigned widgets and lock screens, and AI-powered features under HyperAI.
Bigger displays, stronger internals
The phones feature a large 6.83-inch display with peak brightness of 3200 nits. The Pro variant pushes visuals further with slimmer bezels via LIPO technology, a 144Hz refresh rate, and advanced eye-care features. The standard 15T has a 120Hz panel with 3840Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker in low-light use.
Inside, the 15T Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, while the 15T uses the Dimensity 8400-Ultra. Both pair with a 5500mAh battery. The Pro supports 90W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge, while the base model offers 67W wired fast charging.
Design and durability
Both phones come with IP68 water and dust resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The Pro is built with a high-strength aluminum alloy frame and comes in Black, Gray, and Mocha Gold. The 15T is available in Black, Gray, and Rose Gold.
Xiaomi Pad Mini also announced
Alongside the smartphones, Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi Pad Mini, an 8.8-inch tablet with a 3K display and 165Hz refresh rate. It runs on HyperAI tools like AI Writing, AI Interpreter, and integrates with Google Gemini. The Pad Mini is priced at ₱22,999 (early bird) for the 8GB+256GB variant, with accessories sold separately.
