Last Saturday, one of the most awaited events in the Country was held at the Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig – the Canon Photo Marathon. This year is the 9th Photo Marathon since it started this annual event in 2005 enticing Photographers from all around the Country, amateurs, hobbyist and professionals with 2 categories, the point and shoot and the DSLRs.
Around 2,000++ registered participants came that early morning to witness a contest and be able to have a chance to win a brand new Canon EOS 7D Mark II. The field was filled with Red Shirts, the official uniform for the event.
The Ambassadors of Light, Canon Image Nation, Canon Photographers with Canon Marketing Philippines President Kim Loc Hin, opened the event with a prayer dedicating it to the Yolanda Victims.
Right after the gunshot that started the event, 2 themes were drawn that will be the motif of the aspiring winning photographers. Everyone was asked to set their timers for the 2-hour countdown per category. Only 1 entry is allowed per person per category and no manipulation is allowed. JPEG is the format required during submission.
Definitely it will be a tough choice for the Canon Ambassadors to select the winners for this year as tehre are omre and more who joined. We are now waiting for the official announcement for the Winners of this event.
