During an interview with Zachary Quinto, the actor who portrays Mr Spock in the all-new Star Wars series, he mentioned that Star Trek 3 will be shooting sometime after 6 months from now. After having a successful sequel of the Star Trek with the latest movie “Into Darkness” shown last May 2013, they are targetting the new movie release by 2016.
It is also possible that William Shatner, who played Captain James Kirk in the earlier movie release, will also be part of Star Trek 3, he announces in an interview article by UP Roxx.
Just like the genre of today’s movies, this will complete the trilogy of putting the setting back to how it started. This is where cinematography and creative writing will play a big role as to how to connect the dots.\
Khan, who was the villain in “Into Darkness”, i believe will be the highlight of Star Trek 3 since “The Wrath of Khan” was the last of the old series and this is where they will put in life to connect Star Trek 3.
I am one of the avid fans of the Star Trek movies and it has always been amazing to go back and watch the old series. Those times when animation, computer graphics and special effects was still at their infancy, they were able to portray the future and science fiction.
For the new series, JJ Abrams made a very good job in putting the right characters and story to tell to make the Star Trek Saga a success. All special effects, location shoots, and even the costumes used makes it really “futuristically a science fiction Film” to watch.
2016 is more than a year to wait for the Star Trek 3 and i hope reliving the past into future will be what spectators like me will be really waiting for.
