Photo World Asia 2015 in Manila schedule

Photography is one of the most exciting avenues of expression for artists, writers, bloggers, photo entusiast. But also helping out for Photography to be showcases are not only the photographs make things to life but also models, shoot choreographers, Hair and Makeup Artists, Fashion Designers come together to create great scenery.

There will be fashion shows and entertainment programs in between the dates and photography breakout seminars that you can come and join. There will also be all exhibitors from 3rd party manufacturers, not limited to lenses, but also camera bags, camera straps, cf and sd card manufacturers, dslr batteries, and a lot more.

The Photo World Asia is an annual event where photographers, amateurs, professionals and hobbyists wait for this event to happen since great sale and exhibitions of new innovations and products are showcased. Camera brands and lens manufacturers, open their booths to the public, to come and try their latest gears.

The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) has formally announced the launching of Photo World Asia 2015, the largest and longest-running photography trade show and convention in the Philippines. Thursday’s formal trade launch at Dad’s Restaurant in Makati was attended by a full crowd of more than 40 representatives from commercial sponsors and suppliers in the photography industry, as well as media partners and members of the various PWAsia committees.

FPPF Chair Mrs. Eduviges Y. Huang, noting the encouraging attendance of sponsors and suppliers at the trade launch, said the 2015 event will be festive and bigger than ever. Theme for Photo World Asia 2015 will celebrate emerging technologies as they help enhance Filipino culture and values. “I thank our sponsors for their invaluable support, those who have been with us through the years and those new sponsors here today,” Mrs. Huang said.

For his part, FPPF President Pablo Beltran showed attendees the recent activities of the Foundation in promoting photography in the country, among them the regular photography workshops in Intramuros and the provinces, corporate outreach to teach photography to employees of commercial and industrial institutions like PLDT, SSS, Chevron, LandBank, Accenture, and many others, workshops to enhance the skills of Rizal Park photographers, and Crossing Bridges, a community of Asian photographers that go around photographing noteworthy places in the ASEAN region and South Korea.

Chairman for Photo World Asia 2015 is Amir Alba, FPPF instructor and founding organizer of Manila AVID Photographers, one of 52 camera clubs affiliated with the FPPF. As chairman, Alba will oversee preparations and activities leading up to the culmination of the photographers’ convention and trade show from January 29 to February 3, 2014.

Photo World Asia is an annual event under the aegis of the FPPF, held yearly without interruption, for 27 years now since 1987. There are two components of Photo World Asia – the trade show at Glorietta Ayala which is open to the public for free, with exhibit booths displaying the latest products from various camera manufacturers and photography suppliers, and the international photographers’ convention at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati. Photo World Asia 2015 will feature two prominent Canadian portrait photographers from Quebec, Joseph and Louise Simone, Malaysian travel photographer Arthur Teng, and Australia-based Filipino photographer Emmanuel “Mannix” Santos. Together with other Manila-based Filipino master photographers, the guests speakers will share their expertise with attendees in the photographers’ conference.
