JBL DARE TO ELEVATE JBL Soundbar series powered with Dolby Atmos Technology as the unveil during an even last Thursday, held at the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel which were attended by members of the media, distributors and channel partners, select celebrities and personalities who just love JBL products.

The lineup consists of five new models, each with its own curated components to meet the needs of a diverse market: JBL Bar 1300, JBL Bar 1000, JBL Bar 800, JBL Bar 500, and JBL Bar 300. Whether it be for a fully-furnished home theater, a family flick in the living room, or a casual screening in the bedroom or study, JBL has the perfect sound just for you.
Launching the JBL Soundbar Series
The JBL Soundbar Series launch event was attended by JBL and Harman International executives; JBL dealers; friends from the media; and special guests including actress and film-producer Bela Padilla, dancer and producer Gab Valenciano, digital creators and power-couple Patricia Henson and Daniel Peters.
Moreover, JBL brought together an Expert Panel who were able to test the soundbars for themselves prior to the event. These professionals, including artist and event director Raymond Lauchengco, music producer Jumbo de Belen, and architect Gel Cabantac Cases, are leaders in their respective fields and have a thorough understanding of what it takes to produce an outstanding audio experience. Each one of them brings a unique perspective and set of skills to the table, making them the perfect candidates to put our sound bars to the test.
“When I tried out the JBL Bar 1300 I was like oh my goodness this is so superior to anything I’ve experienced in the past,” exclaimed Raymond Lauchengco. “I have never been a fan of soundbars until now because previously I found the experience to be very—you know the sound was all coming from the front. Very linear. But with [JBL Bar 1300], the sound was everywhere. It was like being in a movie theater or sitting in front of my very own private concert hall. That’s what it felt like.”
Jumbo de Belen also attested to JBL’s ability to bring movie-theater audio quality to the home. He explained “As a producer, I’ve been working on spatial mixes so it’s an experience that you only get to have in the cinema. [With JBL,] it’s readily available in your homes right now.”
The series also includes variants that are simpler and easier to set up. Gel Cabantac Cases narrated, “I’m not really techy… I’d rather stay away from equipment but then when I saw the JBL box I was like ‘I can do this by myself.’ Then I tried and opened it, and then in 5 minutes I was already calibrating! My 3 year old was like ‘Where’s that sound coming from?’ We were just watching YouTube… She started dancing and I was like, ‘it sounds awesome, right?’ She had a really fun time with it. She had a blast trying out the soundbar.”

JBL Bar 1300
The JBL Bar 1300 is the cream of the crop in the JBL Soundbar series. It is packed with 11.1.4 channels that has a maximum output of 1170 watts power output. 11 channels means there are 11.1.4 means that there are 11 channels/speakers at the base unit, 1 sub-woofer that gives you all the BASS needed, and 4 speakers that are upfiring (45 degrees to the ceiling which is intended so sound will bounce back), 2 of which are on the base unit, and 2 are detachable (check image below).
The 2 detachable speakers can be configured as a bluetooth speaker that automatically syncs to the base unit, which gives you a left and right. The detachable speakes can also be mounted (standard screw size at the bottom) and can powered by an external USB power source for continuous use without the need of charging it back to the dock or main unit (check images below).

JBL Bar 1000

With an output of 800 watts, a sub-woofer, and 2 detachable speakers, with 7.1.4 channels, you have the same detachable speakers and upfiring speakers at the base unit that will give the surround sound experience in big room.
JBL Bar 800
Looking for a smaller setup without compromising on sound? JBL has it for you with the new JBL Bar 800. Offering a 3D cinematic experience with the simplest setup, it’s definitely an audio must-have that goes above and beyond!
With 720 watts of power output, The 5.1.2 channels has base unit, a subwoofer, and 2 detachable speakers also equipped with 2 upfiring speakers (compared to the Bar 1000 and 1300 which have 4 and 6 respectively).
JBL Bar 500
Get up and move to the beat with JBL 500, which reveals amazing 3D sound with thrilling bass! A home essential that keeps you groovin’—whether you’re working, studying, exercising, playing video games, flick-viewing, or whatever you’re in the mood for.
With a maximum power of 590 watts and a 5.1 channel, the JBL Bar 500 comes with a base unit and a subwoofer (no removable speakers).
JBL Bar 300
Finally, the JBL 300 is an easy-to-setup, all-in-one soundbar with extraordinary sound packaged in a sleek compact design. It’s exactly what you need for your home office, study, or the bedroom–just put on your favorite show and take a quick escape from the daily grind!
Straight out of the box, all you have to do is calibrate the device and it is all ready to go. The JBL Bar 300 is your over the table compact and single bar that you can simple plug and play, and just keeps on playing all the games from your PS5 or whatever PC game you will be playing.
The JBL Bar 300 is all-in-one 5 channel with 260 watts total output. This model is compact and so easy to setup and configure and takes the least space from all of the JBL Soundbar models. The JBL Bar 300 has a built-in subwoofer unlike the rest of the models have a separate baffle for it. Likewise, the JBL Bar 300 doesn’t have a detachable speaker making it the quickest soundbar and most flexible that you can bring to your friends when you have a friendly tournament.
To summarize
To summarize, the JBL Bar 500 (5.1 channels), 800 (5.1.2channels), 1000 (7.1.4 channels) and 1300 (11.1.4 channels) have a separate unit for the subwoofer. The JBL Bar 800, 1000 and 1300 are the only models with detachable speakers and upfiring drivers as well.
The JBL detachable speakers have a standard screw that can be used to mount to a fixed location. It can also be powered by a third party standard USB power adaptor. The detachable speakers have upfiring drivers that lets sound blend it to the acoustics of your room. Letting you experience that sound is everywhere, not just at the front side near your TV screen.
