Since the Canon EOS 1D X has been announced last October 2011 and the EOS 5D Mark III last March 2012, the 18.1 MP (1D X) and 22.3 (5D Mk III), it has long been awaited that Canon releases a high-powered DSLR with extreme megapixels as compared to its competitor Nikon.
Even with the announcement of the EOS 7D Mark II last September 2014, the 20.2 MP second generation 7D is just like the baby 1D X in some features just like the 65 cross-type AF points and getting close with the 10 frames per second (12/14 frames for the 1D X).
Photographers have been craving for something new to these professional series magnesium alloy compact flash digital single reflex lens cameras. It has always been compared, in terms of specs being below in terms of ISO, Megapixels, frames per second, and all those neaty greety stuff.
Now i see a lot of leaked photos and rumors of the upcoming 5DS R series with a whopping 50MP full-frame sensor.
Could this be true?
GSM Arena is just one of the reliable tech blogs that features such products. If it is, this will be good news to Canon photographers and patrons.
