Ford Philippines celebrates the arrival of the all-new Mustang in a rock concert held at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The All-New Mustang is the sixth generation model built by Ford since launching the first model in April 17, 1964. Regarded as one of the most highly-anticipated vehicles of the year, the iconic all-new Mustang comes loaded with innovative technologies, delivering world-class levels of performance and style for a more controlled, connected and comfortable driving experience.

“The all-new Mustang represents the very best of Ford and its arrival marks the latest chapter of the iconic muscle car’s rich legacy, crafted with a more contemporary look and feel With a history spanning more than 50 years, this iconic car is at the heart and soul of Ford and we are very excited to bring the sixth generation Mustang in the Philippines,” said Kay Hart, Managing Director, Ford Philippines.

The Mustang is a car beloved by all as evidenced by sales of over 9 million units over its 50 years of continuous production. For the first time in its history, it has been made available in more markets in Europe and Asia, further cementing its place as a global automotive icon.

All-new shape, yet unmistakably Mustang

The clean-sheet design of the all-new Mustang evokes the essential character of the brand, retaining key design elements with a contemporary execution including its signature shark=bite front fascia and trapezoid grille. Its long sculpted hood and short rear deck paired with a sleeker profile stimulate a first impression that is unmistakably Mustang.

Other key features include a lower, wider stance with a reduced roof height, wider rear fenders and track, and three-dimensional, tri-bar tail lamps. Its tires have been fitted with 19-inch aluminum wheels for a more aggressive stance.

The information controls and active driver needs are situated accessibly in the aviation-inspired cockpit, which is executed with the highest degree of craftsmanship ever found in a Mustang. Large, clear instrumentation puts vehicle information right in front of the driver in the roomier cabin, while improved ergonomics and tactile switches and knobs provide better control. The added width and new rear suspension contribute to improved shoulder and hip room for passengers, and more trunk space that can accommodate two golf bags.

“When you see a Mustang drive by on the road, you see a legend in motion. From its exterior and interior features, the all-new Mustang is inspired by a unique and iconic design that has been reinvented for the contemporary world,” said Minnie Valencia-Bustamante, vice president for marketing and sales, Ford Philippines.

The all-new Mustang sets new handling benchmarks for the brand, delivering world-class dynamics and ride quality, featuring all-new front and rear suspension systems and the most capable brake lineup ever offered in its history.

At the front, a new perimeter sub frame helps to stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing a better foundation for more predictable wheel control that benefits handling, steering and ride. The new double-ball-joint front MacPherson strut system also enables the use of larger, more powerful brakes.

At the rear, is an all-new integral-link independent rear suspension. The geometry, springs, dampers and bushings all have been specifically modified and tuned for this high-performance application. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce unsprung mass for improved ride and handling.
