Chamber of Pawnbrokers of the Phils Inc. hosts “Leading and Building as One” conference

The Chambers of Pawnbrokers of the Philippines Inc. (CPPI) recently convened for their highly anticipated mid-year conference, themed ‘Leading and Building as One,’ at the prestigious Crowne Plaza in Ortigas. The event brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss key issues, share insights, and explore innovative strategies shaping the future of the pawnshop industry in the Philippines.

 

The conference commenced with a warm welcome from CPPI President, Jean Henri Lhuillier, setting the tone for a day of engaging discussions and collaborative learning. The highlight of the event was a compelling keynote address delivered by Congresswoman Linabelle Ruth Villarica, representing the 4th district of Bulacan and esteemed owner of Villarica Pawnshops, who provided valuable perspectives on industry dynamics and opportunities.

Distinguished guest speakers included Mr. Celso DLM Hernandez from Merced-Mernandez Pawnshop, offering practical insights into operational excellence; Atty. Lowell John J. Fetizana, Legal Counsel of Palawan Group of Companies, providing expert perspectives on compliance and risk management; and Ms. Prisca Santillan, FSI Segment Head at Globe Business, Globe Telecoms, sharing valuable strategies for leveraging technology to gain a competitive advantage.
