Brother Philippines participates in Earth Day

Brother Philippines renewed their environmental commitment during Earth Day 2021.

As part of their promise toward sustainability and conservation, Brother has produced videos about a range of topics including plastic-free living, reducing energy consumption by unplugging unused appliances and electronics, proper waste segregation and more.

In a statement, Mr. Glenn Hocson, president of Brother Philippines, said that “on Earth Day this year, we realize now more than ever the importance of saving the planet, which is why we renew our own promises to help the environment from within our own organization.”

The Earth Day initiative is part of Brother Earth, a bigger campaign launched by parent company Brother Industries, Ltd. Japan dedicated to the conservation of the environment. The company’s ecological program follows the guidelines under the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 established in 2015 by the United Nations.

Other sustainability activities done by Brother Philippines include Tree Planting, Marine Conservation, and Eco-Point (an activity within Brother Offices that encourages associates to consistently do their part in saving the earth), and support of other local environmental efforts in the organization.

The Brother Group commits to continue working proactively to solve social challenges through innovative products, environmental activities and social contribution activities globally while cherishing the spirit of “At your side.”
