WD GREEN hard disks to WD BLUE family

WD, a Western Digital Corporation and a worldwide leader in storage solutions, will be transitioning WD Green hard drive models into the WD Blue family of drives. The company is simplifying the hard drive selection process for customers by streamlining its model families for mainstream PCs to only the WD Blue line.

The color-coded Drive selection is made to simplify for consumers an systems builders to identify the right product for them. There is also a WD Red which is also designed for Data, and WD Purple which is used for NVRs, CCTV and video-recording.

All currently shipping WD Green models will remain available thro
