Volks Wagen Club of the Philippines had its carshow at the Camp Aguinaldo grounds yesterday. They also had a contest in different categories from fully-restored, to modified cars. There were hundreds of Volks Wagen that came from North to South of the Philippines.
The Volks Wagen Club also elected their chapter officers and had their induction of new set of officers for 2015 as well. The Club aims to promote through its events and activities at least once a year.
Volks Wagen, a german brand read as Foks Vagen which means peoples car, was one of the modes of transport during the war. It has different versions and models which were manufactured in Germany and Brazil. So a particular beetle model will have different looks, like the bumper, headlights, tail lights, and event side mirrors which only a volks wagen enthusiast can decipher. Shown in the picture are models from 1950s onwards.
