Kidney disease is one of the dreaded killer illness that are prevalent among Asians, Filipinos to be one of them. It is very alarming and also frustrating on how our fellow Filipinos are able to cope up with this and knowing where to go to get the treatment is very vital for their health and survival.
Worry no further as one of Asia’s largest dialysis network, NephroPlus, recently launched its mobile app for their guests (patients), to help them to seamlessly manage their journey with available treatment by integrating them in one platform via a digital healthcare experience.
Launched during the World Kidney Day, NephroPlus confirms its Company’s commitment to expand access in quality Dialysis care with 43 clinics nationwide. NephroPlus leaders and leading nephrologists addressed the state of kidney health in the Philippines and the role that technology and expanded healthcare infrastructure can play in supporting the national healthcare system.

NephroPlus Co-Founder, Kamal D. Shah, whose dialysis journey began at just 21, discovered many problems related to treatment quality and convenience. Determined to reshape the experience and empower dialysis patients to lead long, normal lives, he co-founded NephroPlus and committed to developing innovations like the Patient App as a valuable tool that simplifies treatment management and supports a healthy lifestyle.
This App comes at a time when the Philippine healthcare system is working to address the rising number of patients with chronic kidney disease, projected to increase from around 40,000 in 2020 to nearly 150,000 by 2030. The gap between available facilities and integrated patient support services highlights the urgent need for innovative solutions to improve access to quality renal care.
“We want all patients (whom we call ‘Guests’ at NephroPlus) to lead happy, productive, and fruitful lives. At NephroPlus, we strive to give them the best possible experience when they come for dialysis. We want them to get their lives back,” he shared.

The unveiling of the NephroPlus Guest App at the launch event marked the company’s next step in digital healthcare solutions.
