History is taught all through out from grade school, high school and college. But would it be exciting if there would be something interactive to make learning more entertaining?
Ayala Museum recently launched the Augmented Reality through the Diorama Experience of Philippine History exhibition launched during the Philippine Independence day, June 12, 2015. The Harish and Johnsen Group, takes one more step into the digital age by introducing this technology innovation into an educational setting.
The Ayala Museum VR app is FREE and downloadable. Though it was still on beta version with IOS, PowerMac lends you some iPhones that you can use during the tour. It is readily available and downloadable via the Google Play Store.
So what does the app do during the tour?
You have a virtual narrator and also get a virtual tour of the setting as if you were in that time when and where it happened. Here’s a short videoclip of what you can see.
As part of the national celebration of the 117th Philippine Independence Day, history will indeed unfold on June 11, 2015 as the Ayala Museum and The Harish & Johnsen Group, with the support of Globe Telecom and Avida, will hold a press launch for a new mobile feature bringing the popular Diorama Experience of Philippine History exhibition to a whole new level.
Inspired by the handiwork of the woodcarvers of Paete who first brought these figures to life, The Harish & Johnsen Group has offered to enhance Ayala Museum’s permanent history exhibit with a remarkably creative and digital accompaniment. This initiative has poised Ayala Museum to be the first museum in the Philippines and Asia to feature a dynamic 3D Augmented Reality with a 3D art exhibit.
The Harish & Johnsen Group through its brands, Dv8 Solutions, RedBlack&White and AV Reality, conceptualized, designed, developed and powered an exclusive museum mobile application for Ayala Museum to bring to life 18 dioramas with Augmented Reality (AR) features. These will allow viewers to pull up mobile devices in front of a diorama and watch it come alive with exciting 3D animated effects, realistic environmental sounds, and audio narrations.
