‘The Last Ship’ sails back for a second season, first and exclusively on Warner TV

The Last Ship

Just a few hours after its US release, The Last Ship will air first and exclusive in the Philippines on Warner TV, Monday, June 22 at 9:50 p.m. Last year’s top summer drama will premiere with a double episode, featuring epic-scale and visceral storytelling based on William Brinkley’s popular novel.

In season two, The Last Ship sails again in its quest to save humanity after a devastating pandemic. Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy) stars in the action-packed military thriller from blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay (Transformers).

The Last Ship chronicles a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world’s population. Because of its positioning, the Navy destroyer U.S.S. Nathan James avoided the tragedy. But now, Captain Tom Chandler (Dane) and his crew must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors.

As the second season opens, Chandler, his second-in-command XO Mike Slattery (Adam Baldwin) and the rest of the crew are working to disseminate the cure that paleo-microbiologist Dr. Rachel Scott (RhonaMitra) developed at the end of the first season. But a new enemy surfaces in this high-impact drama.

In the US, The Last Ship was a blockbuster hit in its first season, not only among total viewers but also among key adult demos. The series ranked as basic cable’s No. 1 new series of 2014.

Also airing first and exclusive on WarnerTV are Murder in the First S2, Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. and Rizzoli & Isles S6, Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m.
