Huawei P40 unboxing and review

Hauwei  recently announced its  flagship product  for the P series, the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and  P40 plus.

Here is the unboxing and review of the P40.

The Huawei P40 front comes with a dual punch hole camera that fits on the upper left of the screen. While a triple 50MP rear camera provides a clear zoom telephoto, a wide and a lens that you can use even on dark locations.

What is amazing to Huawei’s flagship phones is that you are able to capture lunar shots and be able to share photos of the moon almost the same how a pro with a telephoto lens would do it.

There are various shooting modes in the P40 : aperture, night, portrait, photo, video, pro, slow mo, panorama, monochrome, AR lens, light painting, HDR, timelapse, stickers, documents, underwater, super macro, dual view and hi res.

I always use the video, photo and timelapse mode. In the video mode, you can shoot upto 10x zoom, while on the photo, you can magnify upton30x. The night mode brings life to your images taken at night and the timelapse gives you flexibility on the speed output of the recording. Just make sure you use a portable tripod everytime you use video, telephoto, night and timelapse.

The Huawei P40 comes with 128Gb default storage and 8Gb of  RAM with 2 micro sim slots powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 990 5G.  It comes with a 6.1 OLED screen that supports 1080 x 2340 resolution powered by EMUI 10. A massive 3800mah lithium polymer battery gives you hours of standby time (80 hrs), and a video recording of more than 5hours. The screen refresh rate is at 60Hz and supports SD or standard definition of video streaming on your phone. One thing more, it gives you a very powerful GPU for your gaming pleasure.

The P40 configuration of ports are all found at the bottom of the phone is a dual sided sim tray that supports 5G network, and backward compatible to 4G/3G.

The P40 comes with an aluminum frame and  has a small built compared to the two other models, the P40 Pro and P40 Plus. The package comes with a sim ejector, fast charger, usb type c  cable and a type c earphones.
