Subic and Bataan was the last venue of the Challenge Philippines Triathlon race having almost 800 participants from 38 countries. Athletes including families and friends coming from different race, work, profession including two crown princess of Bahrain competed in the inaugural race.
Twenty-five of the world’s fastest pro triathletes joined in the race competing for P2M, the largest prize purse in Asia. Among them are Australia’s Michale Murphy and other current world champions.
The race’s broadcast coverage reached over 82 countries worldwide showcasing Philippines as the most desired lifestyle and sports destination.

Governor Migs Villafuerte said the Camarines Sur is once again ready to welcome athletes from different countries. He also shared that from the experience of the province, athletes come here in groups, most of them are joined by their family. While one member of the family is joining the race, the rest are there to show moral support and also to enjoy the other sports and outdoor activities in CamSur. Other comes in group either taking a 30-minute flight from NAIA to Naga Airport, or taking the south road which is now more or less 7-hour drive from Manila to Naga City.
CamSur has been host to international events for the last few years, including the TV reality show Survivor.
Challenge Philippines entry will cost USD190 (individual registration), a price rollback has been implemented according to the organizers. For team registration, a promo under 30 years of Roth rollback promo is up for USD350 from July to September 20, 2014.
Challenge Philippines Triathlon in Subic Bay and Bataan and Challenge CamSur will be held on February 21 and June 14, 2015 respectively.
